MY APPROACH

My main driving force as a therapist is a firm belief we are all inherently good, strong, driven to self-actualize, resilient and wise. We strive to live an authentic, meaningful life with a sense of congruence, self-acceptance and belonging. At times however, our growth is stymied by various obstacles. 

In those times, I see myself as someone who will listen to you with empathy, warmth and kindness, will hold hope for you and offer guidance through this complicated process of becoming whole again. My flexibility and personalized approach to address your unique needs and concerns is informed by effective research-based approaches paired with playfulness, creativity, respect and acceptance. You may often see me suggest mindfulness strategies, discuss brain functioning and neurobiology to better understand where your reactions are coming from, or use elements of play, creativity and humor as a way of expression and healing tool.

I truly believe in holistic healing by integrating elements of cognitive, emotional, behavioral and somatic functioning to support lasting change.
